2015-2016 Yearbook

Eddy Community,

Our children are our most precious and important part of our lives. The journey through adolescents can be challenging and a rewarding time in our students lives.

I invite you to join other Laguna Region families participating in the Active Parenting Workshops held at LCHS in September and October.  It is a great opportunity to get hints and tips on helping our students navigating the turbulent waters of the teenage years.  You also can share your expertise and experience with other neighbors.

The meeting is being held at LCHS Career center and is open to all HEMS and LCHS families.

Please see the attached flyer for information.

Attention all parents and guardians interested in joining our parent volunteer program, Hornet's NEST (Nurturing Exceptional Students Together)

We will have an informational meeting

Thursday, Sept. 1

To receive messages via text, text @harriete to 81010.

You can opt-out of messages at anytime by replying, 'unsubscribe @harriete'. Trouble using 81010? Try texting @harriete to (562) 320-8925 instead.

If you believe your student may qualify for the Free and Reduced Meals program, please click the below 2016-2017 link, fill out and submit.

Eddy Community,

The following are important events that are occurring at The Nest...

August 17th: Our First Parent Lunch Day of the year!

Those that are new to Eddy, this is an opportunity to visit our campus during your students lunch break. I will have tables and chairs set up with music going... often parents bring blankets and lawn chairs and claim their own space in the shade... Bring lunch for yourself and for your student and enjoy!

August 22nd: Picture Day via PE classes... this will occur in the North Gym. Thank you to our amazing PE staff for handing out the order forms tomorrow (Friday 8/12) during class.

August 26th: Back to School Dance

Permission slips will be handed out to students on Monday (8/15) and MUST be turned in to their Keeping Track teacher on Wednesday.... Permission slips must be on file in the student store before students can purchase a ticket. We will begin selling the $3 dance ticket on Monday August 22nd.... Students, this only gives you a few days to purchase your ticket, so do not delay.

August 29th: Kevin Bracy Assembly

Welcome Back to the Nest, and to those who are first year Hornets, welcome to the family!
