Eddy Community,

A message from our IBPO:

Our Laguna Region IB Parent Organization Meeting on May 3, 2017 will be a Membership Drive! Come get involved and bring a friend or two. We will be discussing the purposes for the organization, preparing for "IB Dessert Night," and electing officers for the coming year. The meeting will be held in the MP Room at 6:30.

This is a great way to get involved at HEMS and LCHS.

Thank You,

Mark Benson

Principal HEMS

Eddy Community,

Please join us at Foulks Ranch Elementary on Thursday May 11th for a special presentation on Digital Safety presented by FBI Special Agent Scott Schofield. The event will present information for students in 5th grade or above.

Description of the event:

"FBI Special Agent Scott Schofield will present “Keeping Our Kids Safe in the Digital World”.  He delivers a powerful and riveting message that is a must see for all parents and students 5th grade and above.  This is a follow up to our successful “Screenagers” showing and Q and A session.  Agent Schofield provides detailed information on the predatory strategies criminals will use in their attempts to lure children.  The behind the scenes experiences that he shares will be eye opening and are vitally important in our work in keeping our children safe.  This is an hour long presentation with time for questions and discussions afterwards."

If you have questions regarding this event, please contact Joe Donovan Principal at Foulks Ranch at

Please see the attached flyer and email Mark Benson at to RSVP for the event.  Please include the number of adults and children attending in the email.

Eddy Community,

School and family communication is an important component of a successful school.  The staff of Harriet Eddy believes that families play an important role as partners in educating our children.

School Messenger is a new system that allows the school to easily communicate information to families.  Part of this system is a parent application, InfoCenter™, that can be used on Android or Iphone (IOS) devices.

The InfoCenter app helps parents access critical information on their schedule and on whatever device they choose.   InfoCenter™ is a notification service that provides a recipient inbox where parents can access recent voice calls, text messages, email messages, and push notifications, from any device and at any time.

I encourage all of our families to download the InfoCenter™ app to stay connected and help Harriet Eddy provide an exceptional educational experience for all kids.

Please see the attached information letter and download instructions for more information and assistance in installing the InfoCenter™app.

In Partnership,

Mark Benson

Principal HEMS

I am excited to announce that Harriet Eddy will be using Remind Instant Messaging to help communicate with our families.  Remind is a one-way text messaging system that allows parents to opt-in to receive text messages from the school. To learn more go to
